Annapolis links:
Annapolis is like an old home to me. I spent a lot of time 'messing about in boats' when I was young, and even had one on Back Creek. I consider it a very good omen that Performance Cruising, Inc., is on Back Creek and that Doublewide was given birth there.
Dennis and I spent 10 days together provisioning her. We had hoped to take only a couple of days and get on our way, but preparing for a voyage of that extent took a good deal longer than either of us had planned. Lots to do, such as install an inverter (so that AC would be available even if at anchor - the boat runs off DC deep cycle batteries), put in a really good GPS system and fiddle around endlessly with the dinghy! That's a story in itself!
But, although Dennis didn't get to go with me any great distance we did have a really great Maiden Voyage.
